On Sept. 19 in Breckenridge, Colo., the United States Postal Service will shake up the holiday mailing season with four forever stamps illustrating snow globes.

In an Aug. 18 press release, the USPS announced that the new nondenominated (66¢) Snow Globes stamps will be issued during a first-day ceremony to be held Tuesday, Sept. 19, at 11 a.m. Mountain Daylight Time at the Stephen C. West Ice Arena, 189 Boreas Pass Road, in Breckenridge.

Participating in the ceremony will be Sheila Holman, vice president of marketing for the Postal Service, as the dedicating official; Harry Rinker, a member of the Postal Service’s Citizens’ Stamp Advisory Committee; and artist Gregory Manchess of Portland, Ore., whose oil paintings appear on the stamps.

These USPS will always be equal in value to the current USPS First-Class Mail one-ounce price.

Legitimate Stamps

My husband and I purchased these stamps online because our local USPS would not get any new designs in until they went through their old stock from last year. I was kind of annoyed by that and wasn't a fan of last year's designs, so hubby went searching for other alternatives... and he found these beautiful stamps! They are 100% legitimate as we've already sent out over 20 Christmas cards and every single one of them have been received by our family and friends.

I was a bit worried these could be counterfeit but it wasn't. I'm more than satisfied.

Snow Globe Stamps

Every year I look coward to the new Christmas postage Forever stamps. And I’m never disappointed. The snow globes are Christmassy with different themes in them. And every year it’s disappointing when the USPS puts their black-ink Christmas stamp right over their colorful postage stamps. I’ve never been able arise above that until now. Write that letter to Uncle Joe and enlighten him about two of his departments going against each other.
